African Buffalo (Syncerus caffer). A large herd and a few lone males seen at Kruger.
Eland (Taurotragus oryx): A group of three at Cape Point NP.
Greater Kudu (Tragelaphus strepsiceros). Not uncommon at Mkhuze and Kruger NP, but rather elusive, especially large bulls.
Nyala (Tragelaphus angasii): Common at Mkhuze. Bulls are quite elusive and difficult to see well, except when drinking at waterholes.
Bushbuck (Tragelaphus scriptus): A female at Kruger NP.
Common waterbuck (Kobus ellipsiprymnus): A large herd at Mkhuze.
Mountain Reedbuck (Redunca fulvorufula): A single male on a grassy hill near Wakkerstroom.
Blue Wildebeest (Gnu) (Connochaetes taurinus): Common at Kruger NP and Edeni.
Red Hartebeest (Alcephalus busephalus): A herd at Umgeni Reserve.
