BIRDING IN MADRID AND ITS PROVINCE

Many visiting birdwatchers come to Spain every year, usually headed for Extremadura, Andalucía, or the Pyrenees. Names like Monfragüe, Doñana, Ebro Delta, are familiar to anyone who has birded or is looking forward to birding in Spain, but few are aware of the fact that most of the species they come looking for can bee seen less than an hour away from downtown Madrid and its International Airport.

WORLD BIRDING: TRIP REPORTS

I have made birdwatching and nature trips both by myself and with organized tours, but usually I only write down a report on those that I have planned and made on my own, without professional help.

Some of these have been previously published in the Web by www.birdtours.co.uk, a very useful site if you are planning a birding trip, as well as in the OSME (Ornithological Society for the Middle East) website.
I have revised and updated them where needed.
