Many visiting birdwatchers come to Spain every year, usually headed
for Extremadura, Andalucía, or the Pyrenees. Names like Monfragüe,
Doñana, Ebro Delta, are familiar to anyone who has birded
or is looking forward to birding in Spain, but few are aware of
the fact that most of the species they come looking for can bee
seen less than an hour away from downtown Madrid and its International
